Background
Dr. Beatrice graduated with merits from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia, and served with the Ministry of Health (KKM) for five years. Witnessing the rising tide of chronic diseases and the limitations of medication-heavy management, she transitioned into private preventive healthcare. After over two years in this field, she discovered Lifestyle Medicine as a truly holistic approach to empower patients in reclaiming their health.
Lifestyle Medicine is an evidence-based specialty that applies therapeutic lifestyle interventions—plant-predominant nutrition, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, positive social connections, and avoidance of harmful substances, as primary strategies to treat and even reverse chronic disease. Dr. Beatrice emphasizes nutrition as a form of medicine and encourages patients to make sustainable daily choices that support long-term health. Through this approach, she manages conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.
Having personally overcome physician burnout through Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Beatrice integrates both professional expertise and lived experience into her practice. Her consultations are patient-centred, combining open, supportive conversations with evidence-based diagnostics to uncover root causes. Treatment plans often include tailored lifestyle prescriptions such as nutritional guidance, exercise recommendations, and stress reduction techniques while carefully reducing unnecessary medications to minimize risks of polypharmacy.
Driven by a passion for prevention and empowerment, Dr. Beatrice aspires not only to help her patients achieve a higher quality of life, but also to guide them toward lasting wellness and longevity.
